Catching Up!

I got a sweet email from my mother-in-law today where she kindly reminded me that I hadn't updated my blog in a while...which, I've known I need to do it but just keep putting it off! But, it is for them and the rest of our family that I really do keep this blog for so I decided today is as good a day as any...especially since Anne is napping and it is pouring rain outside right now!
Word of warning...this will be a LONG post since it has been forever since I've really posted anything and I just didn't want to leave anything out. However, I did have to narrow down how many photos I post since it is so easy to take so many with a digital camera!

This is from Valentine's Day...yes, I'm that far behind! For whatever reason, Valentine's Day equals Chinese food at our house so we had a yummy dinner and then I served everyone their own heart shaped cake with a little message on top. Anne loved it!

Anne and I went to the Children's Museum with our neighbors, Michelle and Ian, toward the end of February. It was so much fun! I had just found out a day or two before that I was expecting and Michelle made the comment of how many pregnant women were there...I chuckled on the inside but there were a LOT of "ready-to-pop" pregnant women there!
Anyway, there were so many fun things for the kids to do! Anne loved it all!

I had to get a picture of Anne on the "horse" for Papa Dewey...hopefully someday this can be a real horse ride with him! And she and Ian just loved the life flight helicopter they had outside that they could play in. We had to practically drag them away kicking and screaming from this one!

This is a photo from March of me with some college friends. We hadn't seen each other in FOREVER and so it was so much fun to catch up with them! From left to right is Ras, Christina, me and Khay. Khay was the service director my second year of college and Christina and I were his assistants. Ras was on the committee that year and then the following year was Christina's assistant for the same committee. It was fun to see how much we have and haven't changed!

This is a picture of Anne playing dress up and she just had to have her picture taken with Daddy! This kid loves the camera! Good thing it is digital!

We spent Easter weekend with Nana and Papa out at the hatchery! We love going to see Papa there...just wish it was a little closer so we could see him more often! We did a mini hunt Saturday from what Nana had done for Anne and then did a semi-egg hunt on Sunday...I didn't actually get around to stuffing the eggs (was feeling pretty sick that weekend) so we all took turns just hiding the plastic eggs for Anne and then just snacked on the candy. Anne also had make-up put on her for the first time by Nana and they painted their toe nails. She loves doing girly-girl things.

She also loves going for rides with Papa and checking out the fish! They finally got a roof over the raceways at the hatchery so we went down to check it out and let Anne get her "fish fix" for the day!

Isn't she just the cutest ever? And here is another 3 generation photo of us girls!

I've been getting together with some girl friends from high school for many years now about once a month. We are now just doing it once every 3 months, however, since one of my friends has moved further away and two of us are expecting. Anyway, we occassionally do little crafts and this was our craft from FEBRUARY! I finally finished it in MAY but I'm happy with how it turned out. It is now sitting in my kitchen window...I'm holding on to spring as long as I can this year. Not looking forward to hot weather!

We got Anne her own little potty that converts to being just a step stool with the seat on the regular toilet. Anne LOVES it and wants to go potty all of the time now...she has actually "used" it twice which makes mommy and daddy so proud! She thinks I have to take her picture everytime she sits on it though...again, good thing it is digital! We aren't actually into training mode just yet but glad that she's excited about it!

Anne also wants to help with EVERYTHING and has recently decided she needs to do the vacuuming. Unfortunately, the vacuum is a little big for her just yet so she pretty much just stays in one spot. In this photo, she is actually telling me "Too heavy!"
And this is Anne's first (and most likely final) "ride" on Daddy's motorcycle. Dan was pulling it out of the garage to take some photos of it so he could get it posted online to try and sell it. It was pretty funny when he started it up to pull it in the garage. She shh'd Daddy and told him he was being "Too loud"...ha, ha, ha!
Well, hopefully now that I'm feeling a little better, I'll be better at keeping up with what is going on. We have some fun things planned this summer so I don't want to leave those things out! Belly photos to come later! =)
