Flaming Gorge Trip
We had a really fun trip at Flaming Gorge...Anne's first camping trip! When we arrived at the campground, my Dad was telling me about how they have seen all sorts of animals in this camp, including bears. It didn't hit me until the middle of the night so I thought for sure every time Dan was moving around in his sleeping bag that it was actually a bear trying to come in our tent!
We camped Tuesday through Thursday. Tuesday was spent just getting there and setting up camp. There was a little fishing that night. Wednesday was Green River rafting. Everyone but Anne and I went down the first time. Bracken loved it! Next time we go, hopefully Anne will be old enough to also make a trip down the river.
Thursday was fishing day from the boat on Flaming Gorge. Anne, Mom and I stayed back at camp and Dad had to do some spawning before he joined in the fun on the boat. We got hit with some rain throughout the day but that is OK by me. The cooler the better!
All in all we had a great time! It was great just getting out into the great outdoors and to do so in such great company! Can't wait for the next camping trip now!

I'm a mom...
I love that now when people ask me what I do, I can say that I am a stay at home mom. I officially am no longer employed outside of the home. I went back to work for a few weeks the beginning of this month to train my replacement and then I literally handed over the keys. It was the greatest feeling!
Looking back over the years at Twinlab, and the other various places I have worked, I realized that I learned a lot about myself. I tended to be the organized one...which meant I ended up with a little more work than I originally signed up for. I also like to find the fastest way to do my job...which usually meant that I made someone else mad. I learned that I love working with others...and yet at the same time would love to just work alone. I also learned that I am very passionate about what I do, meaning that once again, I would make someone mad. I always had good intentions but sometimes I came across a little too strong for others to handle at times.
But now I am home and I am the CEO of "Cartier Enterprises". I have so many job titles now and my payment comes in various forms (drool, spit up, dirty diapers...but my favorites are giggles and kisses). And I do look at my many years being full time employed outside of the home as a great way for me to learn how to better manage my time. Not that I always use those skills but I have learned how to get the house cleaned up faster so I can spend that extra time at night with my family or a book. And by far, being a mom is the hardest but most rewarding job I have had yet.

3 Months Old!
Wow...does time fly! I can't believe Antonia is now an infant! (I learned today that at 3 months is when they are no longer considered a new born...however, I haven't felt like Anne has been a new born since I found out she was 13-1/2 pounds at 2 months!!!) Anne is growing so well and is just constantly trying to learn new things. She is doing excellant with holding her head up on her own during tummy time and is trying so hard to roll over. She is also giggling some now and "talking" up a storm - especially at bedtime when she knows she should be calming down. Dan and I just absolutely love being parents. Even though it is one of the hardest things we have ever done, it is the most rewarding!

Here is a picture of Anne taken this morning after we woke up.

Anne in her new outfit that mommy bought her yesterday...I love dressing her up!!! The picture to the right is one of me at about 3 months.

I love this picture of Anne! We were out for a walk and she was looking at the trees. I am so glad that I took my camera with me today.
