Laurel's Bridal Shower

Saturday was the day that I've been planning for a LONG time! Ever since Travis and Laurel started hinting about getting married, I had a plan in my head to do a bridal shower for Laurel with the female family members from both the Dewey and Wilkinson side of our family. The objectives were to give them all a chance to get to know her, eat food and open presents...we were able to accomplish all 3!

This is Anne the night before as we were doing our prep work for the food. I made yummy brownies with chocolate chips and caramel drizzled on top. Anne helped with the clean up!

Along with the brownies, we had a yummy strawberry and cream cheese cake, veggie and fruit tray, candies and drink. And Laurel got a great assortment of gifts...all seemed to have a kitchen theme! I asked everyone to submit their favorite family recipe as well as wedding/marriage advice and have put it all together in a binder for Laurel to enjoy!

I didn't realize until after the party that this is the only picture I got of Sue, Shari and Shari's girls. (Sue is the one in the left-back). And also Leslie.

Taylor got roped into coming with Heather but we had fun with boys being there too!

Here is cute Annie. Mom and I "attacked" her with pictures right as she walked in the door.

And of course, the guest of honor, Laurel and her mom, Judy.

Anne was so excited to give Laurel her present...and then proceeded to help her eat it! Anne and I gave Laurel a bunch of different chocolates that went along with my wedding advice.

We had so much fun and missed those that weren't able to be there with us!
