Happy Birthday Nate!

Happy birthday, Nate! How can you look at this kid and not smile? He is just so much fun and we wish that we could see him and the rest of the gang more often!
Nate, you are a special little guy and we love you so much! I remember the weekend we drove up just for your baby blessing. We wish we could have made it up for the rest of your siblings but it was a very special day. That seems so long ago and yet yesterday, all at once!
Hope that your very special day is very special for you! We love you buddy!

Thank you Mom and Dad!

Just 29 years ago today (yes, I'm that old) I entered this world. I don't remember much about it (nothing really) but from what I have been told, Mom was worried because I wasn't crying and Dad said I was just too busy looking around.

I just want to thank Mom and Dad for being the best parents any kid could ask for. I had so much fun growing up. Our home is next to a farm so I got to do all sorts of things that those "city kids" couldn't do. Jessica and I would roam the hillside, pretending we were the first to see some of those areas since the indians had been there. We'd play for hours outside. I could ride my bike all over by myself and not worry about a thing.

I'm so thankful that I was raised in such a good home were values were taught to help keep me on track. Even though I would get off that track from time to time and try to figure things out on my own (mainly the teenage years), I always knew that I was loved and it was easy for me to find my way back on that track.

I wouldn't change much about my growing up (maybe my attitude toward life - again, teenage years) but I feel that I was blessed with many wonderful opportunities. I had a co-worker one day tell me that I was a "spoiled little princess" because I had a pony, huge playhouse, a walk in closet and bathroom and a hot tub. The hot tub came later but yes, I do feel that I was spoiled! What more could a girl ask for?

Love of my Life

So, today we celebrate those we love. Dan isn't really into celebrating Valentines Day because he said we should show each other every day how much we care...and it is OK because it kind of takes the pressure off the day and I don't like getting flowers anyway. However, I wouldn't object to a nice box of chocolates!

Regardless of this, I have realized lately that my life is totally and almost completely focused on Anne. True...she can't walk, feed herself or talk. Well, she babbles a lot but we aren't entirely sure what she is trying to tell us. Basically, she is totally dependant on me so it is only natural that I would devote so much time to her. However, in doing so, I think I've somewhat neglected Dan and I feel bad.

There is a song that comes to my mind when I think of Dan. He actually dedicated it to me on Facebook one day but now I want to dedicate it to him...well, the words at least. It is by Frozen Ghost and is called Dream Come True.

Antonia is 11 months old!!!

I cannot believe that little Anne is 11 months old today! Where does the time go? She is just too much fun and I feel like the most spoiled mom in the world.
Anne is really growing up! She is such a chatter box. Nothing makes sense yet, of course, but she sure does like to tell stories! She has started pulling herself up onto everything and likes opening all closed drawers and cupboard doors. And our most favorite of all is that she will ask for kisses by smacking her lips. So cute!

Anne loves bath time. What kid doesn't, right? She thinks it is so funny to lay on her tummy and kick her legs as hard as she can. And she loves her Mr Ducky.

This was too cute. Anne was so tired this night. After I had put on her jammies, she saw Miss Kitty in her crib so she grabbed her and pulled her out as much as she could (her head was stuck) and then Anne just leaned up against her and closed her eyes. I'm glad I had the camera ready because she soon realized this wasn't the most comfortable sleeping position.

We just love this little girl so much and we are especially looking forward to next month! Birthday time!!!

Happy Birthday Mason and Bracken!!!

Mason! You are 7 years old today! Wow...time really does fly when you are having too much fun! I hope that you have a fantastic day! I can remember when you were born...doesn't seem too long ago. You are the first grandbaby in the Dewey family and you got so much love and attention!
We had so much fun visiting you! Sorry that you had to go to school but we'll try and hang out as much as we can when you come and visit us in Utah! We love you!!!


Bracken - you share your birthday with Mason! How fun is that? And you are two years old today! I'm sure your Daddy wishes he can skip past the "terrible two's" but I don't think you are terrible! You just need to run around outside more and get that energy out of your system! Ha, ha! You are such a cute little boy! Hope you have a fun day buddy! Love ya!
