Vincent's Gradutation!

Congratulations Class of 2009...but mostly just to Vinnie! We were all so proud to see you in your cap and gown!

SSHS Class of 2009 and Vinnie being announced.
Vinnie and some of his buddies!
Proud Mom and Dad!

It has been a while since we have all been together and what a great time we all had...some louder than others (Taylor...ha, ha!).
We love you Vinnie and can't wait to see you and keep cheering you on during the other big and important steps in your life!

Camping Fun!

What a fun camping trip this was...first of the year! We had such a blast with the family. Anne loves to camp!

This was Anne's first hot dog roast. She wasn't too excited about the roasting part but loved the eating part!

This was the first time that all 6 grandkids have been together! As you can see, they are quite the handful but the fun was plentiful as well!

Anne loves her Nana and Papa and you can tell! She also was able to discover new fun things to do with all of her walking (or attempts at walking).

The fairies from the Fairy forest left some goodies for the kids...paints to decorate rocks with and treats for their hike in the forest. They were so excited to finally get to the Fairy Forest and leave their creations...

...masterpieces! We still need to take Bracken up so he can leave his.
We all had so much fun! Thanks Papa and Nana for a fun camping trip!

Princess Anne takes a walk

Anne has been doing better and better each day with the walking. Today she has been letting go of everything on her own to walk around...mostly just when Daddy is around though. So, we decided we better show the grandparents how she is doing.

She also picked up on counting this past weekend. We had a super fun day with cousin Bracken and Bryce and Bracken is doing a great job with counting to 3 and showing it on his fingers as well. So, since he was showing us that all day, Anne picked up on it a little bit. Kids are definitely like sponges!

Any Day Now!

It seems like every time anyone has asked me if Anne is walking yet, the only thing I could think of to say is "Any day now!" She has been teasing us for so long with holding on to tables, chairs, the wall...anything she can get her hands on. She is a good walker when she can hold on to something.
Then finally, the day after Mother's Day, we were all just sitting around. Mom had just changed Anne, Dan was taking a nap, I was enjoying a fudge pop and I can't remember what Vinnie was working on, but all of a sudden she stood up (which she has done before), clapped for herself and then took 2 steps to Nana! We were all cheering for her! I think the cheering scared her just a little bit but then she realized it was a good thing. It was the best Mom day present ever!
However, she hasn't done it again. She's once again back to her teasing ways. She'll stand up and pretend like she is going to walk but then just fall down and crawl to us. I have seen her out of the corner of my eye start but once I look at her she falls down. Silly girl! Does she think I'm going to start giving her chores if she can walk?
Anyway, so her daddy has decided that once she starts walking on her own, we'll take her to the zoo! My goal is to have her walking by the time her cousins are up from Arizona...which is only a week away!

Happy Mother's Day!

So, I used this picture last year too but I just love it! And when I went looking for what I used last year and showed Anne, she had the biggest smile on her face when she saw her Nana Dewey and Grandma Rea.
We love you both so much and are so thankful for all that you have done, still do and are sure to do for us in the future!
Happy Mother's Day to you both! Hope you have a great day! We love you!!!

Congratulations Travis and Laurel!

Travis and Laurel graduated this weekend from Snow College (Richfield campus). After a LOOONNNGGG ceremony, they finally got their diplomas and we got to eat some yummy cookies that Laurel made!
Other than the packing and cleaning part, it was a great day! Just kidding Trav!
We are all so proud of these two for working so hard and doing so well! Good luck with the job hunting and all of that fun stuff that comes after graduating!!!
