Antonia starts swimming lessons!

Mommy was so excited when she found out that there is a swim club here in town and that there was a spot for Anne!  And of course Anne was super excited to go!!!  After two weeks at Grandma and Grandpa's with immediate access to a pool, she was begging to get back in the water!  Not only do they teach technique and water safety, they also swim year round!  This made mommy especially happy because this past summer was just too busy and we didn't want Anne to get behind on learning how to swim.  We are also happy that she gained some confidence swimming in PEI because she just jumps right in the pool and does whatever she is asked.  The only downfall, Sophie has to watch from the side of the pool.  She so wants to jump in as well!  A few more years, sweetie!

Utah State Fair

Papa Dewey had an assignment to work at the State Fair so we came along for the ride!  Before Papa had to get to work, we were able to walk around the fair and enjoy all the fun stuff!  Anne wanted to ride a horse.  She LOVES riding horses.  Girl after my own heart!
Sophie getting a flower balloon from a clown.  This is about as close as she would let him get.  About one minute later, it started to pop...go figure!
Vinnie, Heather, and Gage joined up with us and that is when we went to see the animals.  Vinnie said this is his favorite part to Dad so we saved that for when they got there.
Anne had to have her picture taken with the BIG pig!
Sophie and Gage!
We also rode on some rides after seeing all of the animals.  Nana and Anne on the snake roller coaster.  They had so much fun!
Vinnie and Alisha taking the kids on a train ride.
Then we took the kids to the Little Hands Helping on the Farm exhibit.  We love doing this each year.  Sophie is now old enough to walk around and do it on her own!  So nice for mommy!
Sophie decided to just take the milk jug to the cow! Silly girl!
Picking apples on the farm!
Riding a tractor.
Future Farmers of America?  You never know!  These girls love being on a farm!
And the tradition of checking how many hands tall they are!  They are getting so big so fast!

Then it was time for Papa to head to the Division of Wildlife Resources building.  He was working the fish pond.  When we got there, we found out Nana had signed up to help as well!
Ahhh...cousin hugs are the best!  Sophie was loving her little cousin Gage...a little more than he wanted!
Before the kids can fish in the pond, they have to take a mini class on what a fishing pole is and a few other things.  This is Anne practicing casting.  She had never used a regular size pole before.
Nana helping Anne at the pond.
Sophie even got in on the action with Papa.
Anne caught a fish!!!
Anne was so excited and followed directions from Papa on how to reel it in!  This was her first catch ever!
Then the girls and Alisha went to ride a few more rides before heading home.  We all rode on the carousel together.  Then Anne wanted to ride on the bouncing frog ride.
She LOVED it!!!
Then it was off to the monster truck ride.
She was ready to go!  After this ride, we went and bought a yummy watermelon lemonade drink, said goodbye to Nana and then headed out.  It was such a fun day!  Thank you Nana and Papa for bringing us along with you!

First day of Preschool

Back to preschool!  Not sure who was more excited today...Anne or Mom!  Didn't matter...we were both excited!  Anne giving her Daddy a hug before heading out.  I love that he gives her a blessing on the first day.  She loves it too!
Had to do the usual first day of school photo!

Anne is excited to be in Miss Hollie's class again this year.  There is so far only one other girl and the rest are boys.  I went in with her for the first 15 minutes to go through a few stations to get her settled in again to learning new things and following directions.  This will be a fun year!
