2007

We hope that everyone had as much fun in the year 2007 as we did. This has been a year full of many, many changes. Not only did we decide to stay in Utah longer than planned, we also sold our house and found out that we are expecting our first baby after many, many years of waiting and praying. Both changes have been such a blessing for us.

We are now living in Pleasant Grove in a townhouse that is about a 5 minute drive to Alisha's work and only 3 minutes away from Taylor and Heather. Which we love since that is where Red is now living. We love our new ward and have even starting making a few friends. However, we still keep in contact with a few from some of our past wards and miss seeing them all on a more regular basis. We will be teaching all of the youth in Sunday School. There aren't many kids between the ages of 12-18 in our new ward so they just decided to give them all to us...about 15 in all. We are excited for the challenge and to be able to serve together.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little one that decided to keep its own surprise from mommy and daddy. While attempting to determine the gender of the baby during the ultrasound, the baby kept its legs crossed the entire time! I guess that is what we get for keeping our pregnancy a secret for about 18 weeks from family and friends! We are happy for the surprise though and think it will be fun to hear the doctor say "it's a...". Besides, the person doing the ultrasound did say it is a 50-50 chance of either boy or girl, so we were relieved to hear that!

Dan has been having lots of his own changes this past year. He has gone from driving a recycle garbage truck for Waste Management to working at one of his favorite stores...Honda World (motorcycles). He is currently working on getting his life insurance licencing through Primerica and hopes to be working with them more and more throughout the coming year. He also has enjoyed poking Alisha's ever growing belly to get the baby to kick during the wee hours of the morning.

Alisha has been getting larger and larger as the days progress but is still told by many that she doesn't look that big, which she appreciates and doesn't mind to hear! She is starting to feel a little uncomfortable but for the most part is just enjoying it and thanking Heavenly Father everyday for this blessing (even if it means not being able to sleep on her tummy). She has been staying busy with work at Twinlab and just trying to keep up on the day to day stuff at home. She is taking a break from her passion, organizing, for now but hopes that she will be able to find some time for it in the future.

Again, we hope that you all had a wonderful 2007 and that this new year will bring you much happiness!
