What a big day it has been! It actually started around 12:30 am. Anne decided she wanted to get the party started early! After about 2 hours, I finally just had to let her cry herself back to sleep in her crib because I was so tired and I knew she was too!
So, then we started again around 7:30 this morning when Daddy got home from work! We went into the birthday girl's room, a much happier baby than previously stated, and sang her the birthday song! Then we headed downstairs to show her all of the decorations and presents.
For lunch, I took Anne to McDonalds and she got her first happy meal...chicken nuggets. She loved the vanilla shake I got her the best. ("Finally" is what her papa said when I told him...he wanted her to share the one he brought me the day she was born! Silly Papa!) She also got a Ronald McDonald bath toy...which has already been put to good use! After lunch, we did some shopping at Macey's and Anne got a pink balloon which she just loved!
We chatted with aunt Jessica and cousins on the webcam before we woke up Daddy to have dinner and birthday cake before he had to leave for work. She loved her cake...as you can see in the photos above...and that is when the bath toy came in really handy! After her bath (which was extra long tonight just because), we chatted with Nana, Papa and uncle Vinnie on the webcam and then headed to bed. She was worn out from such a big day!
This is a little long (Dan wanted to capture it all) but the first 2 minutes are the best...well, the singing could use some work.
