All about Anne

It seems like it has been a while since I have just created a post about Anne and what she is up to. She is such a fun, cute little girl and we just love her so much! We feel like the luckiest parents in the world!

These two pictures really show the little personality that our girl has. She loves bath time and has found a new purpose for her bath toy basket. This is where it always seems to go now while she is in the tub. Also, we finally added locks to all of the lower cupboards in the kitchen (she finally discovered the ones under the sink and that was when it was decided). So, since she can only get in to the drawer below the stove, we are hearing a lot more banging of the lids.

This is a video of Anne walking behind her train. She is so close to walking on her own now but has yet to attempt it. She's great at cruising and walking while we hold her. She did, however, stand herself up in my primary class on Easter Sunday from sitting on the ground and stood for quite a bit. When I was singing her praises to the kids, they didn't really give me the reaction I was looking for. I'm sure 6 and 7 year olds just don't appreciate those sort of things like a mother!

Fun Easter Weekend

What a fun Easter weekend we had! I love Easter because it means that warmer weather is on the way!

We went to an egg hunt in Orem on Saturday. It was rainy but there was still a big crowd. They had the park divided up into sections for the different age groups. We weren't able to get much but we got the one thing I really wanted for Anne, a Winnie the Pooh bear dressed up like a bunny! So cute! Dan loves the picture of Anne giving a "that was it?" face.

Anne had a lot more fun on Sunday helping Bracken find eggs that were hidden all over in the back yard of Laurel's parents house.

She also had a lot of fun with Travis (who managed to make her cry later on...expected) and also playing with the family dog, Max.
Of course we have to get some cute pics in of the boys! Bryce, are you looking for Wilson? (ha, ha) and Bracken, our little poser!

This was our attempt at getting a photo of the 3 kids together. Doesn't really work having a 2 year old try to hold a not so happy 6 month old. Anne did manage to hold him for a second...but of course, I wasn't ready!

Fun Little Project

One of my really good friends, Alayna, has a blog dedicated to her crafts. Check it out here. She always has such great ideas that I know someday I just might get around to using. Today I decided to share a little craft project I did on my own. I doubt I'll ever get around to having my own blog about crafts but this is a fun start!
These are a fun way to have sticky notes handy in the kitchen. I just took a transparency sheet (thanks Alayna!) and cut it into thirds. Then I attached the sticky note pad towards the bottom and hot glued on these fun flowers. After I created the first one, I decided to add a cute little Happy Birthday note on the others since I plan on using them as a present for the ladies I visit teach.

I can't take credit for the idea, however. This is similar to something I received as a relief society birthday gift. However, they had a cute paper flower. I'm sure that would have made them lighter. I attached magnets to the back of each, which are being well hidden by the flowers. The magnets I used are ones that come on phone books. Great way to reuse them!

On a side note, Anne is 13 months old today! She is growing up way to fast. We call her our little "Jib Jab" because she loves to talk! She is getting closer and closer to walking each day and loves to hide and have us come find her. She also is learning fun actions to songs. She loves Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree and My Hands. Coming to primary with me has really encouraged that.
