Sledding

With all of the fantastic snow, we didn't want to let it go to waste.  So all of us girls went out to the hill next to our house to go sledding.  Gaby wasn't super excited but she had some fun.
Girls at the top ready to come down!
Gaby just hanging out.  She liked it when I just pulled her around on flat ground.
Sophia was afraid to go sledding since this is also the hill she went down and broke her arm.  However, after a few times going down with mom and then going down the "bunny hill" alone, she finally found her courage and LOVED it!  So proud of this little munchkin!
Anne couldn't get enough of it...until it got cold.  When it was time to go in, I loaded all 3 girls on the sled and pulled them home...across the street.  Love our neighborhood!

Christmas Morning!

Christmas morning!  The girls were so excited!  They were also so excited they could get into their stockings before Daddy woke up!
Gaby multitasking.  She would not put down her bottle for anything...until it was gone.
Gaby opening her present from Santa with some help from big sister.
Sophia so excited to receive the Doc Mobile she asked Santa for.
Anne always showing off her missing teeth when she smiles!
Anne super excited that she also received what she asked for...and then some.  She asked for only the King Triton and Ursula but got some others as well...since Santa is generous like that.

The girls spent the day playing with their new toys and hanging out together.  It was a really nice day.

Christmas Eve

Dan had to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas day this year so we opted to celebrate a day later.  So, that meant that we celebrated Christmas Eve on the 25th.  In the end, it really didn't matter but what was most important was being all together as a family.  We decided to make our Christmas dinner extra special by using the nice china and getting out the nice table cloth and napkins.  The girls had never seen any of them before.
I found a fun way to fold the napkins to look like Christmas trees.  The girls though everything was so fancy.
Anne even helped to fold the napkins.
Finally, the food is on the table and we are ready to eat!
Our yummy dessert for after dinner...homemade molten hot lava cakes.
Then we baked some cookies for Santa, poured him some milk, and left out some carrots for the reindeer.
And it was time to say goodbye again to Snowflake for another year.  The girls sure do love her visiting.  Now, it is time for bed so Santa can get to work!

Finally Some Snow!

We have been waiting for some snow and we finally got just enough to play in on Christmas day!
Anne could not be happier!
Sophie has been waiting so long to make a snow angel.
And she had fun running around throwing snowballs as well.
Gaby wasn't as excited but when I took her inside, she tried putting her mittens on her feet so she could go back outside.  She did enjoy being pulled around by her big sisters, though.
Next on the list...come inside and enjoy some hot chocolate!
Sophia's favorite part!  She asked me to go inside, make hot chocolate, and then come back outside and say "I made you hot chocolate."  I think she saw that on a show and wanted me to do it just like that!

Merry Christmas!

Santa!

After a yummy dinner for our ward Christmas party, Santa came to see all of the kids.  They were so excited!
Sophie told me that this year she isn't going to be afraid of Santa because she wanted to be sure to tell him what she wants for Christmas.
Anne taking her turn with Santa.
I didn't even try to put Gaby on Santa's knee.  Picture with the sisters was good enough.
Anne with our ward elf "Tinsel"
The girls coming down the stairs using their new canes.  Silly girls!

Winter Classic

Anne had a fun opportunity to play an outdoor Mite Jamboree.  And luckily it was located only about a half hour from Nana and Papa's house so we spent the night there and then they came along to watch the fun!
Anne loves getting on the ice and playing with her team!
Sophie enjoying the little bit of snow on the ground.
Gaby did NOT like being dressed up in her snow suit and coat!
Anne and her team playing the white team.
It is so fun watching Anne!
Papa and Sophie watching a game.  Papa wished he could go out and play too!
Taking a break before their last game.
Grey Dawgs with coach Gil!
All the kids getting ready for a big group shot.  I couldn't get on the ice fast enough to get a good photo of them.  I was busy setting up the hot chocolate for the kids to enjoy after the game.  Anne had so much fun and I'm glad we were able to participate!

Putting up the Christmas Tree

The girls were so excited to get their new jammies and put up the Christmas tree with their new ornaments!
We can never get the girls to all look at the camera so here is a photo with the girls all looking at me...getting Gaby to smile.  The girls love their new Frozen pajamas.
Gaby and her ornament - Olaf!
Sophie and her ornament - Anna
Anne and her ornament - Elsa.
Anne's ornament wasn't here yet when we put up the tree so I had to take her picture later.  Note to self, if you see something you think you want to buy...BUY IT!  Don't think that they will have more later because I finally had to order her ornament online.  I couldn't find it anywhere!  I had to pay double for it and drive to Bountiful to pick it up because I didn't want to pay extra for shipping!
Obviously we have a Frozen theme going on this year.  The funny thing is that the girls haven't asked for any Frozen toys for Christmas.

Silly Gaby!

Oh my goodness!  What did we ever do before this cutie joined our family?  She sure keeps us smiling!
I had to take the cupboard lock off to replace the lock under the sink and once Gaby figured it out...this became her daily ritual.  Climb into cupboard...and empty it all out!

Someone asked me once why I do Gaby's hair (I had it in a little pony tail on top of her head)...well, this is why!  She has some crazy hair some days and it just need to be controlled.
We just love our little munchkin!  Silly hair and all!
