Church History Museum

When my sister and her family were in town, getting ready for their church history trip, they took their kids to the church history museum to show them some things they would be seeing when they went back east. She told us they have a really fun area for kids so we decided to check it out ourselves!
Getting ready to go inside. Very neat entrance!
Anne LOVES escalators!
We've been reading with Anne in her own Book of Mormon each night. She repeats a verse with us and then she looks through the pictures at the front of the book and tells us what they are about. This is the "Linahona" - or at least, that is how she pronounces it. She thought it was neat to touch this replica!
Fishing from Nephi's boat. Anne's favorite part of the day!
Anne reading the golden plates!
Anne with Nephi. We are currently reading about him and his family in her Book of Mormon.
Also upstairs in the museum is this replica of the angel Moroni that is located on the tops of most of the temples throughout all of the world. So beautiful.
Then it was time to take the girls outside and walk around temple square for a bit. This is mommy and daddy's favorite spot...since this is where Dan proposed to me! Anne wanted to get in the water. And I don't blame her...it was a hot day!
Some sister missionaries chatted with us a for a bit and then took our picture.
We let Anne walk up to the doors of the temple...
and she got to touch them. She thought that was pretty cool!
This was a cute old man that knew a lot of the history about the temple and how it was built. He told us that while constructing the temple, they built empty shafts. They weren't sure why. However, many years later, that is where the elevators were put.
We took a picture of the girls with the temple. It was a little challenging but still cute!
Then we rode trax to Gateway to eat lunch and then let Anne play in the fountain. This was her new favorite part of the day! If only mom had brought her swim suit!
She made a few new friends that she would follow around.
Towards the end of it all, she was getting brave enough to let the water spray her in the face.
Wet and not wanting to go home! Such a fun day together as a family!

Princess Tea Party

Anne has some pretty fun friends here. Two of them are Ellie and Emma, who are sisters. We decided to have a princess tea party with them one day. I asked the girls to come dressed in their princess dresses.
Then I had them color their own princess crowns. I then added glitter to them.
Next, the girls each read a princess book while I painted their toe nails!
Then, Anne got the tea ready and served it to her guests.
The girls enjoying their drink.
I got a Disney princess tea party sing along DVD from Netflix and the girls were learning a dance.
These girls are great friends! Anne had so much fun!
