Dan decided it was time to get Anne on skates to see how she would do. First of all...when did my baby girl grow up to look like this? She isn't so little any more!
After convincing her it was OK to put on the skates (she didn't want anything to do with them at first), Daddy then decided to show her how to stand up on her own. This will take some practice.
Then it was time to learn to walk on them. She did excellent with this task!
Then it was time to try out the ice.
After putting on her jacket (she got really cold), they tried having her hold on to the boards...and Daddy's hand.
And then she thought it would be fun to just hold Daddy!
She was having so much fun just sitting on the ice, watching Daddy skate around. We had the whole rink to ourselves...so nice!

We had to convince Anne to take the skates OFF by the end of it all...which made her Daddy very happy! I see many more trips to the rink in our future.
