After Nana and Papa saw how much fun Anne was having with her friend's pool, they decided she needed one of her own and surprised her with this one the next day! She was SOOO excited and we had to fill it up right away! We put it in the shade and I was slightly distracted and didn't even think about the sunscreen!
This is the result of my carelessness! We started out in the shade but after 2 hours, the sun had moved. I felt like the worst mom in the world!!! She got a lot of TLC from mommy! I rubbed aloe on her back and she went shirtless the next day! Now we put sunscreen on almost instantly before walking out the door for anything!
I've been pretty busy with my calling lately. I'm trying to get as much done as I can before baby girl #2 comes in about 2-1/2 months (yikes...we're getting close!) Today I had a few visits to make and left Anne home in the the capable hands of Daddy...
but apparently Daddy was a little distracted! When I got home, this is the little face I found! She had gotten her chair and reached up in my closet to get my make-up bag! She got out all of the make-up! (You can't really tell but she has blush, foundation and a little lipstick on) Almost all of my make-up ended up in the garbage or on the floor to be cleaned up!
Can you tell Anne had been crying at this point? She was so upset that I took the mascara away from her and smeared her make-up in the process. However, the idea of vacuuming cheered her up...oh the things that kids love to do!
Anne went to church today with a little make-up still on her since my mascara was water resistant and I scrubbed it off as best I could without taking her face off!
When we loaded these photos on the computer tonight, Dan and I were laughing so hard again. Anne turned around, looked at us and said "What?"...like, what is so funny? And all we can say is "Oh Anne!"

Too cute! I remember those days of Kristen getting into my mascara! Hope you're having fun. Call us and let's do a skype! Love ya!
I think all mom's get to experience their girls getting into their makeup and ruining it! And don't beat yourself up about the sunburn. All Mom's forget about sunscreen at one time or another!
WOW! It has been a long time! What a cute little family you have. I found your blog from our high school reunion web site. You look happy! Congrats on the new addition that will be there soon. It was fun to look at your pictures. Take care!
