Happy 4th of July!

Since the 4th of July landed on a Sunday this year, we've already had all of our fun yesterday! We are thankful since Dan was off yesterday and is working today!

Our day started off with some great excitement! I heard Anne calling to us from her room and asked Dan to go get her. All of a sudden she came running into our room TOTALLY NAKED and asking "Get in the water?" She remembered the pool and had gotten herself ready as much as she could to get in! She was determined so at 8:00 am, she was out in the pool while I got breakfast ready. Unfortunately for Anne, yesterday was a rather cool day...but that didn't keep her out!

Our town did a parade so we decided to walk down. Anne loved riding in the stroller. It has been a while since she has taken a ride in it!

This was my favorite from the parade. Anne really liked the horses too! Later in the day, a buggy with horses came through our neighborhood and Anne wanted to go out and ride them. I told her she needs to call Papa...and then she wanted to call him right away!

This is how Anne spent half of the parade. She HATES loud noises.

Someone was passing out little flags and that got Anne more into the spirit of it. She loved cheering on those that didn't make loud noises!

This is all of the candy that Anne ended up with! I think she got more at the parade than she did last Halloween! And as you can tell...Anne was getting ready to get back in the pool! Ian also came over and ended up getting in the water. Both were shivering by the end but determined. Neither wanted to get out!

After our BBQ, we played Bocce Ball. It didn't last long since Anne didn't really understand the concept and Daddy didn't have the patience for it. (A ball ended up in the pool and that was the last straw for Daddy). So, we watched Cinderella instead and then some fireworks the neighbors were doing, while we waited for the town fireworks to begin.

Finally at 10:00 pm, the show began. We just watched them from our loft window again this year and it was a pretty good show! We were also able to see fireworks all over the valley. Bountiful seemed to have a really good show themselves! A great way to end a fun day!
