Flaming Gorge Trip

We had a really fun trip at Flaming Gorge...Anne's first camping trip! When we arrived at the campground, my Dad was telling me about how they have seen all sorts of animals in this camp, including bears. It didn't hit me until the middle of the night so I thought for sure every time Dan was moving around in his sleeping bag that it was actually a bear trying to come in our tent!

We camped Tuesday through Thursday. Tuesday was spent just getting there and setting up camp. There was a little fishing that night. Wednesday was Green River rafting. Everyone but Anne and I went down the first time. Bracken loved it! Next time we go, hopefully Anne will be old enough to also make a trip down the river.

Thursday was fishing day from the boat on Flaming Gorge. Anne, Mom and I stayed back at camp and Dad had to do some spawning before he joined in the fun on the boat. We got hit with some rain throughout the day but that is OK by me. The cooler the better!

All in all we had a great time! It was great just getting out into the great outdoors and to do so in such great company! Can't wait for the next camping trip now!
