Today was my baby shower that was hosted by Alayna and Cheri...the ultimate party planners! They did such a great job and everything was perfect! The minute they found out I was pregnant, they went to work planning!Alayna and I started getting together on a monthly basis almost 5 years ago! We got together to do crafty things and to try out new recipes...most good, some bad! We learned the hard way that "ds" stands for dash while making fortune cookies. For some reason, I thought maybe it was a misprint and added a teaspoon of salt. They could not be saved! We have done many things from floral arranging, scrapbooking, quilts and much more! We also made a trip together to Hawaii which I think by far has to be my most favorite activity together!
Next we added Cheri to the group. This added a new layer of creativity and it was good to mix things up a bit! We really got into doing party stuff then! We did a "favorite things" party with some of our friends from high school and of course baby showers are always a hit! Our most favorite thing lately, however, has been to just chat and the topic seems to always be related to babies in some way! Gee, I wonder why!
Just recently Beau was added to our group and we are so excited to have a 4th! Both Beau and Cheri have been in my life in one form or another since we were all babies and I love that we have been able to stay in touch after all of these years! I just love having an excuse once a month to get away from my regular routine and be with friends! It is so great to have people I can count on to help me and to just have fun with!
We are now one month away from the due date of our baby! Dan and I could not be more excited and anxious! There are some days that I just all of a sudden realize that I have a baby inside of me and it is going to want to come out soon! I am just so thankful that we have such wonderful family and friends that have been supporting us all along the way.

I am so excited to hear about your baby shower! Little baby Cartier is going to be spoiled by his/her aunt Jess! I wished I was able to be there. We'll do something when we come.

I had so much fun at your shower! Alayna and Cheri really are the best party planners I know. They thought of everything games, food, everything down to the party favors!! Of coarse you are the best person to have a party for, you really deserve all the best party's and this special little baby. I am so glad I am in your circle of friends and really am glad we are getting together every month. Yeah here comes the countdown till baby!!
