Anne's first day of preschool!

Anne started preschool and loves it already! She was so excited to wear her new shirt and to go to school wearing a backpack and to sit by Ian. I stole this cute idea from my friend, Alayna, to have her hold this sign indicating what this school picture is of. Unfortunately, you can't really read the part where it says "teacher: Miss Hollie"
We had to do pictures once we got to school too! Her preschool is in the basement of her teacher's home and it is so fun!
Anne and Ian giving each other a high 5 on their first day of preschool!
Miss Hollie had the parents stay for the first 15 minutes of class to walk through some workshops with the kids. She had them draw the first letter in their name on the chalk board, read a book about apples, sort out fruit by color, slide down a slide and pick up "apples" (bean bags) and put them in the basket, build an oven (tower) around the apple pie and also find their name tag. At each station, once it was completed, they got an apple sticker to put on their apple paper. Then they were to pick a seat so they could make an apple pie using play dough and it was time for the parents to leave. Anne ended up at a table with all of the boys...except Ian. She was sad. She had told me that morning that she was going to ask her teacher if she could sit by him.
When we came back to pick up Anne, she had also colored her apple paper (she drew a rainbow on it) and had it in her backpack. She thought that was so cool! She talked mostly about the clean up bell and her new friend with the princess backpack. There are 8 kids total in the class. 5 boys and 3 girls. So I'm sure we'll learn names in no time!
I'm already really impressed with her teacher and am excited for this school year!
