They picked us up in nice air conditioned buses. Anne's first bus ride! She loved it! She was standing up and looking out the window the whole time up the mountain. I think she liked not being strapped into a car seat...don't get used to it sweetie!
This is the size of the shovel that they use. It only takes 3 loads to fill a haul truck! So amazing!
Drill used to...drill! =)
Anne trying out her operating skills in the drill! She takes her job very seriously!
Up close and personal with a haul truck. This is actually the first of its kind in the world. All electric! So big!!!
Hello way up there!
The family...on the shady side of the truck. It was a pretty warm day!
After our tour of the equipment, we ate a yummy lunch (hamburgers, hot dogs, salad, chips and water) and then we hopped on another bus to go up to the visitors center. We've been there lots but this time, they had ice cream and popcicles for everyone. I would feel bad if I was a "regular" visitor this day since there were lots of us and they wouldn't get any ice cream! I think this was Anne's favorite part! However, the banana popcicle was melting faster than she could lick it so it ended up in the garbage.
