Any Day Now!

It seems like every time anyone has asked me if Anne is walking yet, the only thing I could think of to say is "Any day now!" She has been teasing us for so long with holding on to tables, chairs, the wall...anything she can get her hands on. She is a good walker when she can hold on to something.
Then finally, the day after Mother's Day, we were all just sitting around. Mom had just changed Anne, Dan was taking a nap, I was enjoying a fudge pop and I can't remember what Vinnie was working on, but all of a sudden she stood up (which she has done before), clapped for herself and then took 2 steps to Nana! We were all cheering for her! I think the cheering scared her just a little bit but then she realized it was a good thing. It was the best Mom day present ever!
However, she hasn't done it again. She's once again back to her teasing ways. She'll stand up and pretend like she is going to walk but then just fall down and crawl to us. I have seen her out of the corner of my eye start but once I look at her she falls down. Silly girl! Does she think I'm going to start giving her chores if she can walk?
Anyway, so her daddy has decided that once she starts walking on her own, we'll take her to the zoo! My goal is to have her walking by the time her cousins are up from Arizona...which is only a week away!

Lish,
Mom told me the story last night. She is doing great! If I were you I would try to not focus on her walking right now, because you might want her to go back to crawling, once she does!!! I always did! Anyway, she is such a cutie and we cannot wait to see you guys!
Love ya, Jess

Kids walk when they're ready. That's true just about everything related to milestones with kids, I think. She'll be walking all the time before you know it! Cute shirt Anne has on! Aubrie has the same one! =)

She is so cute and it's so exciting when they start walking. Our little ones were both way late in that department. Ellie was almost a year and a half and Emma was 14 months. They just do things on their own at their own time. She is a good little walker and that video is fun. Princess Anne. Thanks for sharing!
