Just 29 years ago today (yes, I'm that old) I entered this world. I don't remember much about it (nothing really) but from what I have been told, Mom was worried because I wasn't crying and Dad said I was just too busy looking around.
I just want to thank Mom and Dad for being the best parents any kid could ask for. I had so much fun growing up. Our home is next to a farm so I got to do all sorts of things that those "city kids" couldn't do. Jessica and I would roam the hillside, pretending we were the first to see some of those areas since the indians had been there. We'd play for hours outside. I could ride my bike all over by myself and not worry about a thing.
I'm so thankful that I was raised in such a good home were values were taught to help keep me on track. Even though I would get off that track from time to time and try to figure things out on my own (mainly the teenage years), I always knew that I was loved and it was easy for me to find my way back on that track. I wouldn't change much about my growing up (maybe my attitude toward life - again, teenage years) but I feel that I was blessed with many wonderful opportunities. I had a co-worker one day tell me that I was a "spoiled little princess" because I had a pony, huge playhouse, a walk in closet and bathroom and a hot tub. The hot tub came later but yes, I do feel that I was spoiled! What more could a girl ask for?
Thanks again, Mom and Dad! I love you!!!
